Salam alaik.

I am sick. Ergh. =S First soar throat, next cough, now flu. But it's not that bad though. Alhamdulillah. And I bet I'll get better after meeting my cute lil sis tomorrow. hahah. yelah tu. Da rindu org gini ah.

Anyway, last wednesday I was on my way to MUIS when our car had a "little" accident on the expressway. 6 chain collision. enam kerete tau! It was raining heavyly, and the three of us were talking when suddenly I felt like our car got too close with a van infront. Then... "oi.... oi... oi.. oi oi oi oi oi oi oi oi.. *Crash!* innalillahiwainnailaihirajiuun.." then all 3 stunned. haha.

We kept quite for awhile, didnt know what to do. Then I took my mobile out, "ahh.. time2 gini ah amek gambar bagus." I went out of the vehicle and saw 6 cars, straight, one infront another. Ok, obviously the upmost front car e-brake followed by the car behind up to the 6th car, our car. But the first three car got lucky. They didnt hit each other.

Then all the drivers went out, took out a a piece of pen and paper and take down all the six drivers particular and vehicle no. Funny, seems like they already knew what to do. Or maybe we're the inexperience one. hah. And yeah, how could I miss the scene. So I too walk around and snap some pictures and video. Really, this is the only time you can walk front and back, right in the middle of an active expressway!

After we're done. I found something on the road. Hah.. our "Fiat" car logo flew quite far from the vehicle. heh. Berkecai. Then we got back into the car and park it on the roadside. Then came the traffic police. We turn back and strangely saw few more vehicles parked on the roadside too. Our car was supposed to be the last one involved in the accident. So we suspected there's a second accident behind. hmm.

Alhamdulillah we're not injured. But the bad news is, the car was from a rental store! All we can think about then was the $cost$ to get it fix. So we call the owner and they told us to return the car immediately. Gah. So we cancelled our trip to MUIS and went to the store. When we arrived, the first thing that came out from a fella who work there "6 cars ah?? wah.. chalat ehh.. all the cars from the first to the fifth will claim from you!" oh, great.

We sit, discuss, talk and wait for 6 straight hours. To cut the story short, the store manager gave us 2 options. 1) pay $3500 insurance + $2000 penalty for under age (below 26)+ $1180 three weeks car rental for repair works, a total of $6680 OR 2) pay $1500 car repair + $1180 three weeks car rental for repair works + an unknown amount of claims from the van infront, a total of $2680++

Heh. so much for a "little" accident. But alhamdullillah, with Allah's help, my friend, the driver, manage to settle $2680. Now we only have to wait for the van's claim.

Huhu. So what did we learn?
1) When road accident occurs, the vehicle behind is always at fault.
2) The law recently changed, in a chain accident, the first car can only claim from the second, and second from the third, not everyone claim from the last. (wheww. lucky)
3) If you're below 26 years old and/or yoru license is less than 30 months old, do not rent a car from rental stores. Coz if you involve in an accident, you get to pay the insurance company $2000 more! =)
4) The first thing to do during an accident, is to save yourself and those you can. Secondly, if u're ok, thank God, make sure the road is clear, get out and get all the particulars including IC and vehicle no. of those involve in the accident.
5) Thirdly, take out your phone (with camera) and snap EVERYTHING. Seriously! I mean ALL! Every single detail. Even a tiny scratch. Well, I didnt know that was neccessary and I did took some photos for fun (luckily I did). But actually, it's very important to take pictures of the damages as proof, for later use. Just in case they claim you ridiculous amount from their insurance company.
6) If you're gonna crash some cars, never bump a taxi. They'll cost ALOT more.
7) Never drive too close from the vehicle infront, especially when it's rainy. The "2 second rule" is kinda important. You'll know what I mean when you've done your theory test. heh. =P
8) DRIVE CAREFULLY AND DONT GET INVOLVE IN AN ACCIDENT, coz it'll cost you alot and even your life. But it's a whole new great experience though. ahah.

Going back in 19 days!
